Day 01: Explore Nadi

Visit the Nadi Markets in town or the Namaka markets for fresh fruit, vegetables and even fish. Sample something new.Head up to the Garden of the Sleeping Giant for a stroll among the orchids and beautiful lush trees, flowers and greenery. Spend the afternoon at the Sabeto Mud Baths. The natural mud is said to having healing properties. Cover yourself in mud, let it dry then wash it off in a series of natural hot pools.

Day 02: Spend some time in Denarau

If you want to do some shopping in Fiji, Denarau has plenty of selections for clothes and souvenirs – although it may be a little more expensive than in town.

Day 03: Day trip to South Sea Island

From Denarau Marina, South Sea Island is just 30 minutes away on the boat. The day cruise includes a full buffet lunch, unlimited beverages including beer and the use of non-motorised water sports gear such as snorkelling masks & kayaks. If you’re feeling extra adventurous you can go for a scuba dive with Reef Safari – perfect for first timers and certified divers.

Day 04: Coral Coast

From Nadi, make a stop at the pristine Natadola Beach for a snorkel trip or even a horse ride along the waterfront. Continue on until you get to the Fiji Beachhouse, a boutique budget backpacker in an idyllic setting. Spend a couple of nights here and enjoy surfing, sailing, diving, stand-up paddle boarding and other activities on offer.

Day 05: Beqa Lagoon | Sigatoka

Where in the world can you swim with bull sharks just metres in front of you with no cage whatsoever? Pacific Harbour is famous for its shark diving adventures and the chance to get up close and personal to these magnificent creatures of the sea.If you’re not a diver, or not into shark diving, head to the Sigatoka Sand Dunes or visit Fiji’s only wildlife park, the Kula Eco Park, where you can hold snakes and iguanas!

Day 06: Suva

Enjoy the sights around Suva, such as Colo-I-Suva forest park, or head into Tappoo City for some shopping. Relax at the Royal Suva Yacht Club for a few drinks, overlooking the marina and watch the sun go down.

Day 07: Return to Nadi for your onward flight.

Drive back to Nadi through the King’s Highway. This road takes a little longer than the coastal route and you’ll see many blue tents in the villages – this is the stark reminder of Cyclone Winston. The deadly storm hit in February 2016 yet many families are still living in in emergency shelters. You’ll also notice how friendly and welcoming everyone is – it will put your life into perspective.
